Dr. Samitha Fernando, an infectious diseases and virology registrar training in the UK and a recent Master of Public Health graduate from Johns Hopkins University, joined between June 2025 and August 2025 for a study on the “The Demographics, Clinical Characteristics, Etiology and Outcomes of Patients with Confirmed Infective Endocarditis at the National Hospital, Galle” to establish the study and collect data under the supervision of Dr Gayani Tillekeratne.
