• Antibiotic susceptibility testing by Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion and E-tests (including for multidrug-resistant organisms such as MRSA and ESBL+ organisms)
• S.aureus identification by PCR
• Spa typing and multilocus sequence typing (MLST) for MRSA by PCR
• Streptococcus pneumoniae serotyping by PCR
