Initiation of our latest study-Covid-19 and dengue cross reactivity

"Determination of biomarkers of disease severity in Covid-19 patients and rates of dengue cross reaction"  sample and data collection were initiated a few weeks ago.        

The study team comprises investigators from University Ruhuna Sri Lanka, Duke-NUS Medical School Singapore, and Duke University USA.        

The objective of the study is to determine the prevalence of dengue false-positive IgM in Covid-19 patients and to identify biomarkers of severe Covid-19. Patients who are hospitalized for Dengue, Covid-19 and other respiratory infections are being enrolled in the study.
